Go Forth And Muliply
I have delightful news.
One of my geraniums has propagated herself and there is a tiny new geranium growing in a corner of the pot (the pot is square, so yes, corner is appropriate here). The baby is about an inch high and has four dainty little leaves. I have a bitty little pot to transfer her into when she is a little bit bigger. I am so excited.
Mama Geranium will henceforth be referred to as Big Mama instead of “medium sized geranium with the light pink flowers in the ugly, square, green pot.” Big Mama is also big enough to have earned herself a new pot.
Speaking of babies, my Hen and Chicks has also had babies. Thirteen to be exact! Apparently it enjoyed the rainy season. I am very proud of these hardy little plants for making it through last summer’s dry spell with me. I was horribly sick from the pregnancy and most of my plants died from neglect. These girls were two of the hardy ones. Extra water and fertilizer for them this summer for putting up with me last year.
Next week will be repotting week. I love spring.
