Just Some Quick Notes

If you aren’t passing out candy, turn the outside lights off. It’s not complicated. Don’t act like I’m a freak for ringing your well lit doorbell on Halloween.

Jonas was awesome last night! He got loads of candy, so much, if fact, that I had to dump his pumpkin bucket into a plastic bag hanging off of the stroller about half way through, which prompted several people to see his empty bucket and decide to ‘catch him up a bit’ by giving him ten candy bars!

Since it is payday, I bought myself some new makeup. The kids smeared the old stuff all over the front hall last month, so it will be nice to start looking decent again.

I have been slaving away on an application of sorts. I’m not even going to tell you what it is for because of how much I loathe rejection and how great the possibility of it is. You are talking to a woman who has never been dumped, and who can only remember being rejected from something she went for twice. I don’t make it a habit of putting myself in situations where I can be rejected because I just don’t take it well. I try to tell myself I kick butt anyways, but a little part of me dies inside, you know?

Jonas picked out my birthday cake today. It was a toss up between Harry Potter and Cinderella. Cinderella won; he will be having a Harry Potter cake for his birthday.

I bought wrapping paper today. I am one of those obnoxious people who’s Christmas shopping is nearly complete by Nov. 1st. It’s not that I’m super efficient, I’m just well aware that if I don’t spend it early there will be no money left come the holiday season.

  1. Do you get to wear a princess dress and a tiara when you eat your cake?

  2. You’re like me Lou. Once C’s birthday is over in August, I TRY to start Christmas shopping. I have two presents bought so far. I am slacking it’s true. But you’re so right about the cash running out at Christmas. Best to start in January LOL
