Autumn Cookies
Last week we made some autumn cookies to eat and to share. My kids always get so in to the whole cooking experience. It is fun to watch them figure things out and see how it all comes together.
Of course, the sprinkles are always the best part. This is the first time we’ve managed to keep most of the sprinkles contained rather than scattered throughout the house.
It was also the first time Jonas decided to try piping his frosting. He did a great job and made some very cute cookies.
The cute factor appears to be much less important than the tastes really good factor.
We make a lot of pumpkin bread and gingersnaps and Swedish wish cookies in the fall, but every season we always have to do up at least one batch of good old fashioned, the more sugar the better, pass the food coloring laden sprinkles sugar cookies. They’re too fun to skip!
(Yes, It is day one of NaBlopPoMo, but my big plans will be announced on Monday, as the Halloween aftermath has left me shaking in shock as my children have morphed into pure evil sugar demons and I can’t handle anything but a picture post today without SCREAMING. You think I”m kidding? It is 5:41 and my children are in bed. Today has been THAT bad. These happy lovely pics were so from last week.)
