A Butterfly Card

No matter what paper line I work with, I always end up in the same situation. One sheet of the paper will become my absolute favorite and will be used over and over and OVER as though there are no other papers in the line at all.

Case in point:

I am currently having a hot love affair with these Cosmo Cricket yellow polka dots. The rest of the Early Bird line is fantastic, but these polka dots had me at hello. I just can’t stop using them.

I don’t know what it is exactly, but I’m hooked.

I’m hooked so badly that when I was making this card, every time I tried to add another patterned paper or color to the card, all I could think was, ‘but it will detract from the loveliness of the cheerful, yellow polka dots!” And we can’t have that.

So I grabbed a few favorite quickutz dies, my nesting labels and this butterfly and played around with some good old fashioned neutrals.

SkinnyCow Bloggin’

Today I am here to bring up the fact that I am a fan of Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches. I was asked to do a quick review on this ice cream by the folks at Mom Central, and well, when there’s ice cream, I’m in! I know, big surprise there.

I am not a person with a lot of food related will power, and a I have a wicked sweet tooth, so I’ve been a fan of these for quite some time. You can eat an entire ice cream sandwich and only earn 100 calories, and 100 calories can be burned quite quickly, unlike many other treats that add about quadruple that. I also love that it is a low calorie treat, and by low calorie they didn’t mean that they made it tiny and unsatisfying. It is a full sized treat. I’ve always taken issue with that. I mean, really, fun size? Not actually so fun.

I eat these most frequently at my in laws, as they always seem to have their freezer stocked. In fact, when I’m feeling particularly decadent- I eat TWO. Out in the garage where no one can see me. In the dark. True confessions, right there.
