Actual Conversation With My Son Today
J: Mom, I didn’t get to play at all during recess today!
L: Why not?
J: Because all the girls kept chasing me! They say I’m hot, and they chase me the whole time.
And so it begins.

Okay, it is seriously frightening to learn how YOUNG kids are starting to act OLD. Do you understand what I mean? When I was in elementary school (and I’m 32…so we’re talking mid-80’s), liking a boy didn’t even occur to me. Okay, maybe I had a little crush on a boy in kindergarten…but my first real “luuuv” was in 6th grade. And even at that time, I didn’t know what that meant…so I sure do hope those little girls who say your son is “hot” don’t know what that means and have no intention of acting on it. Good for him for NOT knowing what it meant!!! It means you are raising him right!!

Naaaawwwww…! Poor Jonas! But I understand. If _I_ had been a small girl - I’d be crushing over him too, for sure. Cute AND kind AND smart? What a winner!
